“Mum, can I go out to play?” I asked my mother. My mother agreed. “OK, Bye!” I exclaimed as I closed the door behind me. It was a beautiful Sunday. As I walked to the park, I felt that I really need to run. I started to jog. I felt as happy as a lark!
Just then, I heard something crashed to the ground. I also heard the pitiful sound of a bird in pain. I approached to where the sound is coming from. To my sock, I saw a bird’s wing was pierced by a jagged branch. Unhesitatingly, I brought the bird home to treat its wound.
I was about to take the first-aid box when my mother asked:” Why did you bring home a bird? “Oh, mum, I saw this bird had its wing injured. I am going to treat its wound, “I replied. “Oh, darling, you are so kind,” my mother said. “Thanks,” I answered.
In a few minutes, I was able to treat the bird’s wound. The bird and I had became friends. I decided to call her Kate. I even made her a temporary nest so that she can recover. I’m happy to help but also sad to leave her. I placed her in the nest that I have made for her. I waved goodbye to her and left. I learn the saying; ‘Always be kind, for everyone is fighting their own battles.’
