” Sally would you want to go to the pool? I’m sweating already,” Sally’s mum, Mrs Foo asked, fanning herself. “Ok! I’ll wear my new swimming costume now!” Sally replied. “Remember to bring your float and goggles!” Mrs Foo called after. I a few moments, they were on their way to the pool.
“Mum, I’m cold. Can we go to the warmer pools?” Sally shivered, pointing to a little pool. “Of course!” Mrs Foo said, dipping in the little pool. They felt warm.
“Mummy, can I swim over there and come back?” Sally asked. “I’ll swim with you,” Mrs Foo said putting her goggles.
In the middle of swimming, Sally heard a shout; “Ah! Help!!” She turned to swim towards that sound. It turn out to be a boy, about Sally’s age, drowning. The boy started splashing around, screaming his head off.
Just then, her mother caught up and saw what happened. “Quick, inform the life guard, Sally!” Mrs Foo said. Sally quickly informed a nearby life guard, and the life guard immediately jumped in.
They waited nervously. In the end, the boy was saved. “Oh! You’re Marcus!” Sally cried, pointing to the boy. Marcus is Sally’s friend. Marcus looked at Sally closely. “Sally!” Marcus cried, hugging her. Marcus thanked everybody.
