” The winner of the I Spy Maths Around Me competition is … Li Yon Le from P3C!”the principal announced. Yon Le blushed. She had never won any competition before. She felt very excited.

As she walked on the stage, she saw her best friends cheering for her. She was so distracted that she did not noticed a puddle of water in front of her. “Ahh!” she cried, slipping on the water! The crowd gasped. All the P3s had saw me fall, why am I so clumsy? Yon Le thought, her face turning as red as a tomato.

The principal and the vice principal helped her up. Suddenly the vice principal whispered in Yon Le’s ear. “Don’t worry, Yon Le. When I was P3, I won a competition. I went up stage, took my award and left. I forgotten to shook hands with the principal. The whole school saw what I did!” she whispered.

Yon Le felt that she was not alone. She took the award, shook hands with the principal, and left. She felt not as embarrassed as before. She learned to be more careful in the future.
