T: Journey to Waterway Point
Today was a lovely day, so lovely, that Mom decided to go cycling with our family to Punggol Waterway Point.
“Children! Pack your bags, we’re going to Punggol!” she called. Immediately, we got ready and took off.
On the journey, I saw kids older than me playing soccer on a plain field. Their happy chatter continued as I rode by. The soft breeze blew in my face. The sound of the rustling leaves made me enjoy this ride even more.
As I cycled further, I noticed that there were many other families cycling too! Mom even let me cycle in front of her twice! As I rode on and on, I breathe in the fresh air. Ah! I love nature.
I cycled further until I saw instead of tall tress, I saw lots of HDB flat. I knew that we’re coming closer to Waterway Point. Before I knew it,we arrived.
We ate dinner, played in a nearby playground and left. As we rode home, I saw the lights in each lamppost glistered. Each left around each lamppost looked like a piece of jewellery.
When the sun sets, the sky turned orange. They looked so beautiful, I wondered if I am in a dream.
While I admire the beautiful sight, I heard birds chirping and crickets singing their songs. It all happened before night came.
When the sky turned dark, the cold air tingle on my skin. It felt strange and nice, almost refreshing. I sighted. I wish this night will never ever end. What a lovely way to end this lovely day.
It was an unforgettable night indeed.
