Since my family and my relatives had not meet for a few months, and we decided to meet up at Punggol in Deepavali today.

As I was waiting for my relatives to come, my mother was looking for seats for all of us in the hawker centre. I stared in awe as the hawker centre had finished repairing and it looked quite welcoming.

“Sophia, can you please take Sammi and Sarah to look around and choose what you all want to eat. Okay?” mummy asked. I nodded. As I search around each stall, I tried to find the Western stall. After searching the whole hawker centre, I realised that the Western stall had moved out. I decided to just order vegetable rice instead and I was going to tell mummy our order.

When I finally found mummy, she immediately told me to stay in the seats she had found and left before I got to tell her my order. I sat down again and tried to find my cousin or my aunt’s face instead. But all I saw was a crowd of strangers.

After a long period of time, I started to wonder why mummy was taking so long. Then, I figured out that she was busy finding my baby brother, Sam who was in the waterpark with daddy at that time.

Soon, I saw daddy with a plate of rice in his hands. He said that it was for Sam. I asked daddy where was mummy. He said she and Sam were in the nursing room. I relaxed a bit but suddenly realised that I forgot to ask him one more question. ” Daddy, what time is it? You said that Cousin Ethan and Aunt are coming at 12 noon, “I asked. ” Now is only 11 48 am, still early,” daddy replied. “Oh!” I realised. Just then, I remembered that I have brought a toy with me. I took it out and played with it.

After a few moments, I heard some familiar voice. I glanced up and saw that Cousin Ethan and his family had arrived. I chatted happily with them. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Aunt. She had a bag on her hands. I asked her what it was inside. ” It is a surprise!” she replied. ” These are your gifts, but I will only give you after lunch.” Soon, lunch began. During the duration, mummy came back and started chattering with my relatives. When lunch was over, we brought home some food because we ordered too much. In the end, we all went home feeling as happy as a lark.
